Glass SWI Programme: 2024/2025 

In Memory of Margo Wordie

On behalf of past and present members of Glass SWI a tree was planted in memory of Margo Wordie who was one their members who sadly died very suddenly and unexpectedly and is greatly missed by all.

Thanks to Stephen Brown who choose the tree and helped us with the planting.

Also many thanks to Callum Duff who  did an excellent job in fixing the plaque onto timber for us and also Alan who has secured the post in concrete to ensure it stays in place.

The tree is Fagus Dawyck Purple (Copper Beech) which will grow narrow and upright with dark leaves that changes to orange tints in autumn.

We all agreed that this was an excellent choice by Stephen as this tree will stand out against all the others.  Next time you are at the Hall you will find the tree at the Memorial side of the Car Park so please go and have a look.

Glass SWI Members 2024 Summer Outing

Glass SWI Members 2024 Summer Outing was to the Walled Garden at Gordon Castle, Fochabers.  A lovely lunch was enjoyed by all in the Cafe before spending time walking around the beautiful garden.

After all the bad weather we have had we were very lucky in having a lovely weather and finished our outing with coffee and cake outside, taking time to enoy the sunshine.

Well worth a visit for anyone who hasn’t been before.
