Marina Alexander found a letter which had been sent to Mary Duncan, an aunt, by a soldier in 1916. The letter is difficult to read – well it is 100 years old – but we would like to hope it would prompt somebody somewhere to send in something similar which they may have found amongst old documents of their relatives. Marina’s aunt couldn’t have been the only one from the school to have knitted socks!!
