Recently a bible was found high up in the roof beams in Glass church during some painting renovations.

It had a name in the cover and a date (1894). Local newspapers were contacted who wrote articles asking if folk if they knew what had happened to the owner – from the writing inside the Bible it belonged to a girl aged 12, called Bella McGregor.

After the articles were published Marina Alexander got in touch,  it would seem that Bella was a distant relative of Marina’s. You can read Marina’s fascinating response to article on the GrampianOnine website by clicking  here
