The Glass Church Trustees would like to thank all of the Glass Community who attended the Christmas Eve service and send a big vote of thanks for the collection. This raised £220 towards their plans for installing a toilet and washroom facilities in the church.
Thanks also go to those who helped arrange the evening and who did readings on the night:
Organisation: Fiona Hill

We can confirm that the water leak at The Hall has been repaired.
On Sunday 18th December a small group of singers gathered at Glass hall to call on the community and sing carols. They set off to visit some of the local houses and collected £186.75 and one Euro which will be shared between a local children’s charity and The Hall. We would like to thank all those who greeted the singers, giving some fine pieces, and donating to our charity collection. We appreciate many would have been hoping to be visited but unfortunately we could not cover all the properties this year. Hoping for milder weather and more singers to make next year a great community event in Glass.
All the carollers returned to the hall for a warming mug of soup before heading home. Thank you to all who took part, both singing and driving.
The gifts to the senior residents were delivered on route, these are in recognition of the help and support they have given to the community over the years in Glass.
There has been a burst pipe at the Hall and we have had to turn the water off to all areas, this means the toilets cannot be used and there is no water from the taps in the kitchen. A plumber is attending on Wednesday, 21st December and we hope that the leak will be repaired at this time.
We will update the Community after the plumber has been.
