Last Saturday evening saw the return of what was another very successful pub and social evening at Glass Hall. The ‘Pub night’, now a regular fixture in the Glass Hall calendar, attracted a very good turnout. A wide range of the local community attended and enjoyed the pub experience.
The event would not have happened without the efforts of a number of volunteers. Jamie Wilkinson, Andrew Mitchell and Darren Farquhar helped organise the evening and ran the bar.
Guests enjoyed a wide selection of beers, wine and whisky. Many youngsters enjoyed playing pool, table tennis and darts throughout the evening.
The now famous ‘Pub pies’ served on the night sold out within minutes.
Future ‘Pub and social nights’ are planned and details will be available on the Glass Community Association website.
Organiser Jamie Wilkinson commented:
“It was a great night with a good turnout of locals, and some visitors from further afield. Table Tennis, pool and table football were popular with children and adults alike.”
£165.57 was raised from the evening and this amount will go towards hall funds.
