Cabrach Film Afternoon

The Cabrach Community Association will be showing the multi award winning original 1945 black and white film ‘Brief Encounter’ starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard, plus there will be an accompanying vintage afternoon tea – all in all an afternoon not to be missed!!!

About “Brief Encounter”

In a cafe at a railway station, housewife Laura Jesson meets Dr. Alec Harvey. Although they are already married to other people, they gradually fall in love with each other. They continue to meet every week at the small cafe although they know a future together is impossible.  This much loved classic film was directed by David Lean in 1945.

The film is rated PG – Parental Guidance – meaning it is a film suitable for general viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children. A PG film should not unsettle a child aged around eight or older. Parents should consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.

The event will take place 15th November 2:00 pm at The Acorn Lower Cabrach as per the poster below. ( Click on the poster for a larger image)
