Glass Community Updates for the winter

Unfortunately the Stewart’s Hall is having a Kitchen refurbishment this October and all the coffee mornings there have to be cancelled, ours on 4th October is therefore not on this year. We are disappointed not to be able to hold our usual coffee morning however we have decided to hold a few exciting events in  Glass Hall over the winter and we really hope you will find some or all interesting and manage to support where you can. We are always looking for ideas or new groups to be formed and welcome ideas or group start-ups.

Plans for the winter include;

Saturday 27th September Glass Quiz 7pm, bring own refreshments. Teams of 6 £10 per team. Contact us to book your table.

Saturday 11th October Family Ceildh Dance Practise 7-9pm bring own refreshments

Sunday 12th October  Craft Club 2-4pm, bring along your craft project and work on it in the company of others, enjoy your fly cup with us.

Saturday 25th Ocotber Film Night in Glass Hall, There will be a film premier of the ‘Cock of the Noth’ at 7pm

Saturday 8th November Family Ceildh practise 7-9pm bring own refreshment

Sunday 9th November Soup and Sweet Lunch 12.30-2.30pm

Saturday 29th November  Postponed – Another date is being planned. Glass Film Premier of short films made in Glass

Saturday 6th December Family Ceildh 7pm 12 midnight, buffet supper and dancing

Sunday 14th December Soup and mince-pie with Santa’s Grotto 12.30-3pm

Sunday 21st December Carol Singing around Glass

Wednesday 24th December Christmas Eve service in Glass Church at 6pm

Date to Follow Family Fun Bingo night , many fun prizes and raffle

Please also remember that the regular clubs of Bowling, Badminton and Women’s Rural Institute all run in Glass Hall over the winter, Bowling and Badminton begin in October and See the WRI pages for details of meetings.

All clubs would really like to see more members of all ages and no past playing is required, they have all the equipment needed so why not go along and give it a go! contact here for more details or see Glass Hall notice board.
